Sony PlayStation is one of the biggest brands in the video game industry. It’s a series of consoles, games, and online services. They are manufactured by Sony Interactive Entertainment and include the PlayStation(r), PlayStation(r)Plus, PlayStation(r)4, and PlayStation(r) Portable. The PlayStation Plus program offers free games to its members every month. In addition, gamers who sign up for the PlayStation Plus Premium plan get access to a streaming library of hundreds of classic PlayStation games for download.

PlayStation launched in December 1994 in Japan and in September 1995 in the United States. It became the first console to sell more than 100 million units. Since then, PlayStation has sold over 150 million units worldwide.

The PlayStation brand also consists of a line of controllers, a phone, magazines, and an online service. There are also two handhelds: the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation Vita.

As of December 28, 2012, PlayStation has sold over 155 million units. That means that it is the world’s best selling home console. Other major competitors to the PlayStation are Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Nintendo’s Wii.

PlayStation also has a strong line-up of first-party titles. The titles include Crash Bandicoot, Twisted Metal, Final Fantasy 7, and Ridge Racer.

PlayStation also has a cross-platform service called PlayStation Mobile. This service allows users to connect their smartphones to the PlayStation and play games. You can also turn your tablet into a second screen for your gaming sessions.

The PlayStation Plus program is an optional subscription service that gives gamers free games each month. Members can sign up for one of three plans: PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, or PlayStation Plus Premium. Each plan has different features. PS+ Essential starts at $10 per month, while PlayStation Plus Extra begins at $15 per month.
